Ice Hockey World Championship 2014
7.5.2014 - 12.5.2014
Poland - Lithuania - Belarus
Our dream came true and this year we've decided to go to the Ice Hockey World Championship in Belarus as a part of our new road trip packed with all the great stuff we've received from Jägermeister. The crew consited of four classical members: Róbert with his girlfriend Zuzka, Lukáš and Juraj. We have travelled 3022 km in 6 days in motorhome. Our route to Belarus led through Poland and Lithuania and back from Belarus we went directly through Poland (the fastest route back home). Belarus was very interesting country but who knows if there will be such opportunity ever again for another visit? Our visas were the championship tickets.

Slovakia (start)
We started from the city of Nitra, the place where we rented the car. It was nice motorhome for four passengers. YES! The first road-trip without tents.
Poland
On the first stop in the Poland we put some new signs to our Jägermeister caps full of destinations.
Warsaw
Our first city to check was beautiful Warsaw. Who could ever say that this city was in ruins before 60 years?
Wolfsschanze
Our next historical place was Wolfsschanze, the Adolf Hitler's first Eastern Front military headquarters in World War II. The complex was built for the start of Operation Barbarossa. Here also happened the most famous assassination attempt on Hitler by Claus von Stauffenberg. Unfortunately this complex was destroyed by germans before the arrival of Soviet forces.
Trakai
Wonderful medieval island castle in Lithuania. The castle is near the capital city of Vilnius and is the pearl of this part of the country.
Vilnius
Unfortunately we were in a little bit hurry so we didn't visited the most beautiful places in Vilnius. Maybe next time.
Entering Belarus
This was the tough one because it took to us 5 hours to cross the borders between EU and Belarus.
Minsk (SVK vs. CZE)
Finally we are here! The most eastern city we have ever visited. Hurry up to cheer up our guys against Czech Republic!
Stalin Line military Museum
This is a "must see" place! Especially for big boys. You can see many military equipment, fire from guns or ride a real tank!
Visiting the city and another match (SVK vs. CAN)
This day was almost without travelling. We have visited the city of Minsk, the Gorky Park and then another match. This time against the Canada.
GO GO GO!!!...
Belovezhskaya Pushcha
National park on the borders with Poland is one of the few places in the world where you can see European Bison in free nature. Of course these ones were in cages for turists but the park is big and free for many other individuals.
Moving back home
Another road trip is over. So let's get back to work and think about another new adventure for next year.
