First to the North

Poland - Germany - Czech Republic
Direction of our third road-trip was north and west. We were four friends: Róbert with his girlfriend Zuzana, Lukáš and Juraj. We have traveled 3004 km in a 8 days. The biggest part of our trip was in Poland, but Germany and Czech republic were also great. We have to visit Berlin and Prague again!

Slovakia (start)
Preparation for the trip. Pack your bags and load our car "Cvrček" (The Cricket). Starting from our home city Ružomberok (Slovakia).
Inwałd
Our first place to visit in Poland was a little village Inwałd where is a mini-world with small replicas of many famous buildings from all aroud the world.
Oświęcim (Auschwitz)
Next one was the place with very dark history. Oświęcim (Auschwitz) was one of the biggest concentration and extermination camp during the WW2. Today it is museum trying to remind us these sad days of the mankind.
Katowice
In the city of Katowice we found one realy cool amusement park with many attractions including for example double-loop roller-coaster. Here we have found also our first campsite. And as you can see we do not had our caps because we didn't wanted to lose them on this crazy ride.
Toruń
Toruń is another very beautiful city. It's a pitty that we came here so early that all city was still sleeping and nothing was opened.
Malbork
The ancient castle Malbork on the north of the country is another site representing the history of the Poland.
Gdańsk
Gdańsk is one of the biggest ports in the Poland. There are also many historical places and buildings you have to visit. In the old town we have found the 500 years old wooden crane, sea museum with the ship Sołdek and the WW2 memorial on the Westerplatte peninsula.
Łeba sand dunes
In the Slovinski natural park near the city of Łeba there are great natural sand dunes. This place was so magical!
Peenemünde
Peenemünde is a place were the first balistic missile V1 and V2 was born. It was the mother of all space rockets. Today this facility is only museum. But you can also take a closer look on the real russian submarine.
Berlin
German capital city Berlin is a place with many interresting places. If we had enough time maybe we could visit all of them but unfortunately we was in a hurry so we could check only some of them.
Dresden
Dresden is a city that was full of ruins after the WW2. Today it is one of the most beautiful cities in Germany.
Chemnitz - Rabenstein
In the western part of the city of Chemnitz there is one of the smallest castles called Rabenstein. Unfortunately we came a few minutes after the closing time so we could check it only from outside.
Karlštejn
Another castle on our trip was Karlštejn in Czech Republic. This was one of the places that we couldn't miss during our trip.
Prague
Second capital city on one trip... this is really great! And this time it is beautiful Prague.
Ostrava
The last place on our trip was Ostrava and the mining museum. Unfortunately in the mine we should wear helmets instead of our trip caps.
